TIAN Eastern (天東方合成)
All 14 Eastern Systems, One Unified Reading
Overview
TIAN Eastern (天東方合成) is the most comprehensive Eastern metaphysical synthesis available through any API. A single call fans out across all 14 Chinese and East Asian divination systems simultaneously — Qimen Dunjia, Liuyao, Meihua Yishu, Da Liu Ren, Xiao Liu Ren, Tai Yi Shen Shu, Bazi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, Feng Shui, Name Analysis, Compatibility, Auspicious Timing, Almanac, and the 591-lot Divination Oracle — and returns a unified synthesis powered by a large language model. The result is a single fortune score from 0 to 100 accompanied by a rich narrative that identifies where the 14 systems converge, where they diverge, and what the overall Eastern metaphysical consensus says about your question.
Origin & history
The concept of synthesising multiple Chinese divination systems into a unified reading has deep historical roots. Imperial courts of the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties employed teams of specialists — a Qimen master, a Liuyao practitioner, a Bazi reader, a Zi Wei analyst — who would each consult their respective system and then confer to produce a unified recommendation for the emperor. This collaborative multi-system approach was considered the gold standard of divination, reserved for the most consequential decisions of state. TIAN Eastern digitises and automates this ancient imperial practice, making it accessible via a single API call.
Throughout Chinese history, the most important decisions — military campaigns, imperial succession, treaty negotiations — were never entrusted to a single divination system. The Yongle Emperor (永樂帝) of the Ming Dynasty reportedly consulted both Qimen Dunjia and Liuyao before every major military expedition. The Qianlong Emperor (乾隆帝) maintained a court that included specialists in at least seven distinct divination traditions. The synthesis approach reflects a deep epistemological humility: no single system captures the full complexity of fate, but the convergence of multiple independent systems pointing in the same direction provides much stronger evidence than any one system alone. TIAN Eastern brings this imperial multi-system methodology into the modern API era.
How it works
When you call the TIAN Eastern endpoint, the system simultaneously dispatches 14 independent divination calculations in parallel. Each system processes your query according to its own logic — Qimen constructs a nine-palace chart, Liuyao casts a hexagram, Meihua derives a trigram pair from the current moment, and so on. All 14 results are then passed to a large language model trained on classical Chinese metaphysical texts. The LLM identifies convergences (where multiple systems agree), divergences (where they disagree), and synthesises a unified narrative explaining the overall Eastern metaphysical consensus. A blended fortune score from 0 to 100 is computed as a weighted average of all 14 individual scores.

Use cases
Annual Life Reading
At the start of each year, individuals use TIAN Eastern to obtain a comprehensive metaphysical overview of the year ahead. The synthesis of 14 systems produces a detailed narrative covering career, relationships, health, and finances with a level of depth impossible from any single system.
Major Business Decision
Before launching a company, signing a major contract, or making a significant investment, entrepreneurs use TIAN Eastern to obtain the strongest possible metaphysical signal. When 10 or more of the 14 systems converge on an auspicious reading, the confidence level is exceptionally high.
Cross-Cultural Validation
Researchers and practitioners use TIAN Eastern to study how different Chinese divination systems respond to the same question, identifying which systems are most predictively aligned and which offer unique perspectives not captured by others.
Key terms
- Multi-System Synthesis
- The practice of consulting multiple independent divination systems and synthesising their outputs into a unified reading, historically reserved for the most consequential decisions.
- Convergence Signal
- When multiple independent divination systems agree on the same outcome or direction, the convergence is considered a stronger signal than any single system's output alone.
- Blended Fortune Score
- A weighted average of the individual fortune scores from all 14 Eastern systems, normalised to a 0–100 scale. Higher weights are given to systems with stronger predictive track records for the query type.
- LLM Synthesis Layer
- The large language model layer that reads all 14 system outputs and produces a unified narrative, identifying convergences, divergences, and the overall metaphysical consensus.
API
The askTIAN TIAN Eastern API dispatches 14 parallel divination calculations and returns individual scores for each system, a blended 0–100 fortune score, and a comprehensive LLM-generated synthesis narrative identifying convergences and divergences across the Eastern metaphysical tradition.
