Overview

I Ching IC Number Feng Shui (易经身份證风水) applies the 8-star pair system to identity card, NRIC, or passport numbers, analysing the feng shui energy embedded in the number that defines your legal identity. Unlike house or car plate numbers which can be changed, your IC number is fixed at birth or registration, making its feng shui analysis particularly significant for understanding your foundational life energy.

Origin & history

Identity number feng shui is the most personal application of the 8-star pair system, as the IC number is a permanent identifier assigned at birth or citizenship. Feng shui practitioners in Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan began analysing IC numbers in the 1980s as national identity card systems became universal, recognising that a permanent number carries permanent energetic significance.

In Malaysia, the MyKad (Kad Pengenalan Malaysia) number encodes the birth date and state of birth in its first six digits, making it particularly rich for numerological analysis. Singapore's NRIC similarly encodes birth year and citizenship status. Feng shui masters use the numeric portion to assess the holder's life path energy.

How it works

The API extracts all digits from the IC/NRIC/passport number, groups them into consecutive pairs, and maps each pair to one of the eight I Ching stars. The dominant star type and overall rating are computed from the pair distribution. An LLM synthesises a personalised interpretation covering the holder's life path, wealth potential, health tendencies, and relationship energy.
