Origin & history

Vehicle registration feng shui emerged as a natural extension of house number feng shui as car ownership became widespread in Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The same 8-star pair system used for addresses is applied to the numeric portion of the plate, with the understanding that the plate's energy travels with the owner and influences their safety, wealth, and career on the road.

How it works

The API strips all non-digit characters from the plate number, groups the remaining digits into consecutive pairs, and maps each pair to one of the eight I Ching stars.
