Overview
Integrated Rose is askTIAN’s synthesised Luo Pan reading: a single compass-rose assessment of a space that layers three classical formulas at once. It reads the Eight Mansions (Ba Zhai) personal direction map, overlays the period Flying Stars governing each sector, and resolves both against the 24 Mountains ring of the compass. Rather than running each method in isolation, the engine reconciles their verdicts — where they agree, where they conflict, and which sectors carry the strongest combined influence. The result is a unified directional portrait of a home or office, with sector-by-sector ratings and prioritised remedies drawn from all three schools.
Origin & history
The reading draws on the Luo Pan (羅盤) compass tradition perfected under the Tang and Song dynasties, especially the San Yuan (三元) lineage credited to Yang Yunsong (楊筠松, 9th c.) and the San He (三合) schools that codified the 24 Mountains ring. Eight Mansions stems from the Tang-era Yellow Emperor’s Dwelling Classic; Flying Stars (Xuan Kong Fei Xing) matured in the Qing through Shen Zhureng’s Shen Shi Xuan Kong Xue.
For a millennium these formulas evolved as rival specialist schools — form versus compass, San Yuan versus San He — each Luo Pan ring encoding a different master’s system. Practitioners traditionally chose one lineage and read by hand. askTIAN’s modern API synthesis digitises the full compass and runs Eight Mansions, Flying Stars and the 24 Mountains simultaneously, cross-referencing their outputs the way a senior consultant mentally would, then surfacing consensus and contradiction as structured data.
How it works
You supply the building’s facing direction (degrees or mountain), the construction period, and the occupant’s Gua number. The engine plots the nine-palace grid, flies the period stars, maps the Ba Zhai auspicious and inauspicious directions, and aligns all sectors to the 24 Mountains. It weighs concordant and conflicting signals per sector to produce a blended rating. The askTIAN API returns a sector-by-sector compass map with combined star/mansion annotations, conflict flags, ranked remedies, and a 0–100 harmony score.
